I bought this machine to replace my Alienware x51. It had a lot to live to as the x51 was a great machine. My main motivation for going for this one was because I wanted to keep the small form factor which appeals to me for a gaming computer, I really don't like having a hulking leviathon rig blowing away next to me.

I configured this setup:

Case - BitFenix Prodigy Black with Asus CD/DVD RW
Power Supply - Corsair CX750 750W
Processor - Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5Ghz - Highly Overclockable
Overclocking - Moderate
Processor Cooler - Corsair H80i Water Cooling System
RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz/PC12800
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI Mini ITX
Graphics card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 780Ti 3GB *Free Daylight PC Game*
Hard Drive - Corsair 120GB Force LS Solid State Drive
2nd Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive 7200rpm 32MB Cache
RAID - None
Sound card - Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
Network card - Integrated 10/100/1000Mbps
Wireless Card - Motherboard Integrated 300MBPS & Bluetooth
Modifications

Case Paint - Standard Case Paint
Internal Lighting Kit - None
Under Glow Lighting - Blue LED
Case fans - Standard Case Fans
Cable Management - UKGC Standard system
Cable Braiding - None
Sata Cables - UKGC Standard system
Hard Drive Dampening - UKGC Antivibration System
Thermal Compound - UKGC Standard System

There's so much more impressive ways you can customize your machine inside and out but I just opted for the Plain Jane look which suits me fine.

My first impressions of the system were it was a little bit bigger than what I was used to but not so big as the usual gaming desktops so all in all I was happy with that.

It was very easy to set-up, there a plenty of usb ports, if you have all bluetooth peripherals like me then this is very handy. Because it has an SSD boot drive it starts-up extremely fast, probably around 20 seconds.

I bought this machine to be used as a family multimedia computer and a gaming rig so it is very multi-purpose and it doesn't disappoint. It performs everything I put it to effortlessly, it can run multiple resource intensive applications without breaking a sweat and the terabyte hard drive ensures that there is plenty of storage space.

As a gaming rig it is probably the fastest I have owned, parts wise it blows the x51 away. The graphics card is amazing and it runs every game on highest settings. The last game I played was Farcry 3, which looks beautiful on this. I have tested it with Metro 2033, Company Of Heroes 2 and Rome 2. All on full settings, no problemo. This thing laughs in the face of resource intensive games and then some.

My negative would have to be the fan noise when you are playing games. My system is overclocked so this might account for a bit of extra decibels. However, when you get hardware like this, there is always going to be noise from the machine. That's just the way it is. So this is one of the those necessary evil negatives that you can't really do much about anyway.

Iv'e had this rig 3 months now and had no problems whatsoever.

As a side I would like to add that, UK Gaming Computers have provided an excellent service right from the start and the communication has been top class. I would recommend them every time and I will be using them when I upgrade, which they offer a service for. I can't see me using a different company ever again to be honest.

To sum up, a smallish but very powerful machine capable of competing with the best of them, perfect for families and gamers alike.
