Extra Ports
These extra port add-on cards increase your USB capacity. The default system specification will already have a selection of USB ports at its disposal. The majority of computer cases have anywhere between 2 to 4 front USB ports and sometimes a USB-C port (subject to motherboard header). Motherboards come equipped with a healthy amount as well, you can read the motherboard and case "More Info" buttons for the exact amount your system will come with.
Planning on plugging in a lot of peripherals or adding extra functionality? Then these extra ports may be perfect. Some devices may take up more ports than you expect, such as VR headsets, streaming gear or fancy ambient lighting.
